Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of mckaylawok.com. Please read them carefully — they explain the limits of the information provided here and, importantly, when an attorney-client relationship does and does not exist.

Last updated: May 30, 2026

01 Acceptance of Terms

This website, located at mckaylawok.com (the "Site"), is operated by McKay Law, PLLC ("McKay Law," the "Firm," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing, browsing, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site.

You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and legally able to enter into these Terms.

02 Informational Purposes Only — Not Legal Advice

Important

The content on this Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Laws change frequently and vary by jurisdiction and by the specific facts of each situation.

Nothing on the Site should be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney regarding your particular circumstances. You should not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of any content on this Site without first seeking professional legal counsel. Reading this Site does not, and is not intended to, create any obligation on the part of the Firm to provide legal services.

03 No Attorney-Client Relationship

Important

Using this Site, contacting the Firm, submitting information through a form, or scheduling a consultation does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and McKay Law.

An attorney-client relationship is formed only after the Firm has confirmed that no conflict of interest exists, both parties have agreed to the representation, and a written engagement or fee agreement has been signed by an authorized representative of the Firm. Until that occurs, you are not a client of the Firm, and the Firm owes you no duties of representation.

04 Confidential or Time-Sensitive Information

Please do not send the Firm any confidential, sensitive, or time-sensitive information through this Site, by email, or through any contact or intake form until an attorney-client relationship has been established in writing. Information you submit before that point may not be treated as confidential or privileged, and submitting it does not prevent the Firm from representing another party in the same or a related matter.

If you are facing a deadline or a statute of limitations, do not rely on the Site or on any unconfirmed message. Contact a licensed attorney directly and promptly.

05 Appointments & Consultations

The Site may allow you to request or schedule a consultation or appointment. Submitting a request does not guarantee that an appointment will occur or that the Firm will agree to represent you. All requests are subject to confirmation, attorney availability, and a conflicts check.

  • A scheduled consultation is for the purpose of discussing whether the Firm may be able to assist you; it does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when requesting an appointment and to keep your contact details current.
  • The Firm may reschedule or cancel a consultation, including where a conflict of interest is identified. Please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • Any fees associated with a consultation, if applicable, will be communicated to you in advance.

06 Attorney Advertising

This Site may be considered attorney advertising in some jurisdictions. The information presented is not a guarantee, warranty, or prediction regarding the outcome of any legal matter. Prior results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome in any future matter. Testimonials or endorsements, if any appear on the Site, do not constitute a guarantee of similar results.

The attorney responsible for this Site is Lindsey McKay, with a principal office at 201 Robert S. Kerr Ave., Suite 713, Oklahoma City, OK 73102.

07 Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, the "McKay Law" name and marks, page layouts, and the selection and arrangement of materials — is the property of the Firm or its licensors and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. You may view and print Site content for your own personal, non-commercial reference only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, or otherwise exploit any content without the Firm's prior written permission.

08 Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site in any way that is unlawful or that could damage, disable, or impair the Site. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems;
  • Use any automated means to scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Site;
  • Transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information; or
  • Use the Site to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

10 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. The Firm does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any information on the Site is complete, accurate, or current.

11 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall the Firm, its attorneys, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to stop using it.

12 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Firm and its attorneys, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

13 Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect information submitted through the Site, including through appointment requests. Please review it to understand our practices.

14 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

15 Changes to These Terms

The Firm may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. Changes are effective when posted, and the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

16 Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Firm regarding the Site.
